Tana Dee Lynn Rickard, 74, of Sweet Home, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
She was born June 13, 1937 in Salem, the daughter of Claude and Juanita (Isenhood) Bird.
She was raised in Salem and graduated from McNary High School.
Following her graduation she resided in San Francisco, Calif. before returning to Oregon. She had lived in Sweet Home the past 10 years.
Mrs. Rickard had primarily been a homemaker. She enjoyed watching movies, reading, and cooking. She loved animals and raising dogs. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and family.
She married Lowell “Ray” Rickard on Nov. 13, 1970. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2000.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Brown and Tracy Reel; son Gig Perkins and daughter-in-law Teri, all of Sweet Home; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
