Bargaining teams for the District 55 School Board and its teachers have reached a tentative agreement on a one-year contract settlement, including a 2.5 percent raise and an increase in the district’s contribution on insurance premiums.
A three-year teachers’ contract expired on June 30.
The new contract, if ratified by the union and the School Board, would expire on June 30.
