Thanks for help with Purple Ball

Editor:

The Elks Lodge 2007 Purple Ball was a huge success. A lot of money was raised for our annual food basket program.

I would like to thank the many volunteers, businesses and members who helped to make it so successful. A few who stand out from the crowd are Darold Bolin and Edie Fields, Hal and Juanita Henick,Nick and Kaynor Heinick, Al and Charley Bashaw, Carol Clark, Jodie Ramey, Mary White, Don Gallogly, Dennis Bechtel, his good friend John and our ever-faithful Naomi and Cleora.

Our evening was made even more special by the addition of limo rides by the Lebanon Strawberrians (thank you Jim Ricke) and performances by the Sweet Home and Valley Stars Talent show winners who performed during dinner (thanks to Nancy Patton).

Billie Bjornson, Kelli Kem and the Sweet Home Equestrian team did an awesome job with serving and clearing. Our members and guests donated nearly $300 to the team through tips for their superb service. The team also enjoyed a fun ride around town in the limo!

I would also like to thank the membership for supporting the event again this year. Advance ticket sales helped us plan for the crowd that we had. Thanks also to Willamette Valley Vineyards, The Point, Les Schwab, Nancy Patton and Edna Cowan for prizes.
