On behalf of the City of Sweet Home, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2018 Sweetheart Run on Feb. 10.
This was the fourth “Sweetheart of a Run in a Sweetheart of a Town.” The run built upon the momentum gathered during the past three years to attract a record total of 147 runners and walkers. Proceeds from the run will be used to enhance the city’s Parks and Recreation programming.
This event was made possible by an inspiring community effort. The city was fortunate to receive a generous financial contribution of over $1,800 from the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund to assist in covering costs. Without the volunteer support from the Sweet Home Rotary Club, Holley Church, Sweet Home High School Key Club, Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District and numerous other community members who volunteered their time, this event would not have been possible. Thank you.
