Wednesday is kickoff day for The New Era’s “Cash For Summer Fun” subscription campaign.
The sign-up period for all prospective sales kids starts Wednesday, April 17, and will continue through Saturday, April 26.
The campaign office at The New Era, will be open through Friday until 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The campaign will end Saturday, May 10.
Major prizes in the campaign will be the ever-popular green stuff, money, according to Douglas Denton, campaign manager.
The grand prize winner will receive $250.
$200 will go to the second prize winner and three prizes of $150, $100 and $75 will go to the next three runners-up.
All sales kids who do not finish among the top five winners will receive cash commissions on all new and renewal orders they sell during the three-week drive.
Subscription rates to The New Era mailed within Linn county are: One year-$27 or two years for $48. Delivered elsewhere in our out of state rates are $33 for one year and $60 for two years.
“All present subscribers are invited to renew during the campaign,” said Mr. Denton. “You will save money and help some ambitious boy or girl earn extra money for themselves.”
