Then and Now

Sweet Home’s fourth-place Senior American baseball team, at right, shows off the trophy they won in Corvallis July 26, as reported last week in The New Era. Sweet Home finished the season 47-6 and won three tournament championships, as well as the valley division title. Most of the team began playing together in 1995, as Midgets. The team has been to the state playoffs four times, placing twice €“ third in 2007 as Juniors, and fourth this year as Seniors. Above, top, the players are shown as Midgets.
