Theresa M. Christley, 81 of Sweet Home died Monday, May 21, at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 19, 1925 in Ellwood City, Pa.; the fifth of seven children, to Frank and Elizabeth (Calao) DeCecio,.
She married Bob Christley on June 10, 1944 after he returned home from World War II. They settled in Fontana, Calif., where they raised four children; Bobby, Linda, Claire and Laurie. A devoted Catholic, she believed in the power of prayer and always kept the Lord close to her heart.
She worked for many years at Keizer Steel in Fontana, in the clerical field. Upon her retirement in 1983, the Christleys moved to Sweet Home, spending the remainder of their lives together, enjoying their family.
Mrs. Christley was a pillar of strength and support to all she knew. She will always be remembered for the constant love, care and commitment she showed to her family and all the others she touched.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda, Laurie and husband Les; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby; daughter, Claire; and husband Bob.
Graveside services were held May 25 at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
