The Nov. 4 Albany Democrat article “Kitzhaber wins 3rd Term As Governor” reports that he has planned to work with unions to alleviate Oregon’s budget crisis, but Pacific University political scientist Jim Moore said “the labor groups should not expect a friend in Salem even after contributing heavily to Kitzhaber’s campaign.”
I don’t know this Jim Moore or what he is smoking but you can bet the unions will always have a friend in Salem as long as they continue to elect a Democrat as governor. They don’t pour money into these campaigns to lose favor with the governor and the Democrats. They will expect and continue to get favors as long as they have enough money to buy an election.
It is very hard for me to trust Kitzhaber or DeFazio after listening to the lies they told about their opponents during this campaign. Even when they knew that they were taking comments out of context they never eased off. How can any one trust them to be totally honest with us now or any time in the future?
Way to go, Multnomah County, for voting in another bought-and-paid-for union tax-and-spend governor.
