Thomas V. “Toad” Walker, Jr., 76, died Sunday July 22, 2007. He was born Nov. 21, 1930 in Sligo, Mo., to Thomas V. and Rita J. (Chambers) Walker, Sr..
Mr. Walker came to Sweet Home in 1932. He served in the United States Army as a young man. He worked as a supervisor at Willamette Industries, retiring in 1988.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting; and snowbirding.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife Evelyn of 55 years; daughter, Karen Olson of Lebanon; sons, Jeff of Albany, Tom and Stan of Lebanon, and Tim of Sweet Home; sisters, Artie Wodtli of Albany, Lucile Loux of Sweet Home and Louise Maxwell of Tacoma, Wash.; brothers, Bill of Montrose, Colo., Bob and Melvin of Sweet Home; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Tolva; brother, Edward Edwards; granddaughter, Leanne Hill; and grandson, Ray Brewer.
