As of Monday, three persons had filed for the November City Council election.
Incumbent Dave Trask most recently filed on July 19.
Also filing for the election are Lisa Pye and Lisa Gourley.
Four council terms are set to expire on Dec. 31, including Dave Trask, James Goble and Mayor Jim Gourley and a vacant seat, which the council may fill Tuesday by appointment.
Jim Gourley will not run again after serving 24 years on the council. Lisa Gourley is married to Jim Gourley.
To file for the election, stop by the city manager’s office at City Hall, 1140 12th Ave. For information, call the city manager’s office at (541) 367-8969. Interested citizens may pick up a City Council Candidate Handbook.
Deadline to file is 5 p.m. on Aug. 30.
The four candidates receiving the most votes in the November election win. The fourth-place candidate serves a two-year term while the top three will serve four-year terms.
Winners begin serving in January.
