News Bites from the Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce

— Christmas in Sweet Home Community Brochures are out. They have been delivered to Eugene, Albany, Brownsville and several Sweet Home businesses. These brochures outline the events the weekend of December 3-5 and throughout December. Bazaars and community activities are listed as well as retail coupons and promotions. Parade applications are due back soon so be sure and pick one up at the Chamber Office.

— Chamber Dollars are now being accepted at: Home Town Drugs, A&W Restaurant, Santiam Feed and Garden, Lester Sales, Dairy Queen, Umpqua Bank, Paul E Wog Grafix, Mallard Creek, Les Schwab Tire, Primasing Motors, Safeway, Attitudes Hair Design, Foster Lake B & B, The Point Restaurant and Dan Dee Sales. New places are being added all the time. Chamber Dollars are available to the general public. They make a great gift!

— The theme for this years Annual Awards Banquet is “The Heart of the Willamette”. The banquet will be held February 12, 2005. Nomination forms can be picked up at the Chamber Office.

— Our website is being updated. Most of the changes will only affect the business members. However, it will be much easier for folks to find a member now. Also our brochures will be able to be downloaded and printed at home for folks. This will save visitors a lot of time as well as save on postage. Our website gets over 3400 visits a month and we mail out an average of 40+ visitor information and relocation packets a month.

— Holiday baskets applications are available at the Fire Department this year.

— The business breakfast is the last Thursday of every month at 6:30 a.m. and is open to the public. There are some great topics presented and a lot of information for businesses. This breakfast meetings were started by SHEDG.
