Toni Larsen
Jan. 17, 1970 – Jan. 13, 2025
Toni Rae (Swank) Larsen, 54, of Crawfordsville, passed away Jan. 13, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.
She was born Jan. 17, 1970, to Leon and Donna (Loughmiller) Swank in Lebanon.
She grew up in Sweet Home. Toni was married to her best friend and the love of her life, Andrew Larsen, for 36 years; they had three sons together.
Family was very important to Toni. Her favorite moments were those spent with her family camping, fishing, hunting and family barbeques. She brought so much life and fun to family time. Her greatest joys were the love of her husband and the gift of being a mom and a grandma. Her eight grandchildren were the light of her life.
In her younger years, Toni loved to draw and paint. She enjoyed being outdoors, rock hounding, wandering the forest, by a river’s edge or on the beach. We could often see nature through her eyes in the many amazing photographs of animals and scenery that she took.
Toni had a deep love of animals, both wild and domesticated. She had many pets over the years, her latest being her beloved English bulldogs, Willa and Annie, and cat Twitch.
She was independent, compassionate, and strong-willed. Throughout her life she never lost her childlike spirit. She loved to tell stories and oh, how we will miss them. She was a beautiful and generous soul, never hesitating to help others. Her smile and laughter would light up a room and she brought joy to all.
She lived life by her terms, spending it doing things that made her happy and we are blessed to have been a part of her journey. She will be missed.
Toni is survived by her husband, Andrew Larsen; children Thomas and wife Charlene, Brandon and wife Heather, and Alex and wife Sarah; eight grandchildren, Paityn, Hunter, Rhett, Hadley, Noah, Hazel, Graysen and Dakota; mother Donna Swank; siblings Cindy (Swank) Owen and husband Mike, Steve Swank and wife Pam, Randy Swank and wife Christy, and Michelle (Swank) Schatz; as well as six nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Swank.
We owe a special gratitude to the doctors, nurses and comfort care team for the great care and compassion that you showed, not only to Toni, but our entire family.
A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 1, at Calvary Chapel, 38353 Glass St., Crawfordsville.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
