Dental Assistant Catherine Johnson gets set to clean Oak heights third-grader Moriah Winn’s teeth during a visit from the Tooth Taxi mobile dental clinic at the school last week to provide care for students from around Sweet Home. The Tooth Taxi is an outreach of the Dental Foundation of Oregon, he charitable arm of the Oregon Dental Association. Dentists and their staff members volunteer in the converted recreational vehicle, which visits schools around the state. As of this fall, the Tooth Taxi has has served over 14,000 children and delivered over $4 million in donated dental care, according to the DFO.
