Justin Tow was voted Outstanding Player for the North team in the 37th annual 4A All-Star baseball series played Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19, at Legion Field in Roseburg.
The North defeated the South in the series, winning 5-4, losing 5-4 and winning 7-4.
Tow, a 2016 graduate who played shortstop for the Huskies this year, went 1-2 in the first game with an RBI and a run.
He made a big diving catch in the outfield to stop the South from scoring, keeping the score at 5-3. The South scored one more run later, but couldn’t overcome the North.
In the second game, Tow went 0-1. In three at bats, he walked once and was hit by a pitch. He collected one RBI and scored a run.
In the third game, Tow went 2-3 with a double, an RBI and a run. His double drove in the go-ahead run to make the score 5-4. The North scored twice more.
