Trump: a diamond in a cow pie

Editor:

Many of you, like me, may not like Trump as your first pick to be our next president.

We are in agreement that he is a bit too much into himself and is a bit too mouthy to suit what we consider presidential. But when we consider who else we have to choose from of the current picks from all the major parties, then Trump stands out like a diamond in a cow pie.

He has a proven track record of getting the job done when it comes to business and other things, unlike Mrs. Clinton, who has yet to accomplish anything successfully without lying or cheating, in all her time since law school. The way Trump treats the people around him, with respect and usually on a one-on-one basis, is very highly thought of by all who know the man.

Hillary, on the other hand when described by those who have worked with her, is mean and thoughtless to human and animal alike. She is said to be hateful toward anyone in uniform – military, police or Secret Service alike. She often has been heard to cuss out those who serve her, as well as her husband. Is this really the type of person we would like to be the next leader of the free world?

When you get your ballot for this election, think carefully:

Who would serve the American dream better?

Who would you think has a plan to bring our country back from less than 1½ percent gains per year for the last eight years?

Who is bought and paid for by foreign governments and who is not?

Who is beholden to lobbyists and superpacs and who is not?

Who wants to bring in hundreds of thousands of supposed refugees and illegals without proper vetting or going through the procedures that people who stood in long waiting lines to come here legally and spend millions, possibly billions of dollars – all the while crying that we don’t have enough to take care of our veterans or Social Security people?

Who wants to put veterans and Social Security people first and bring in people who have stood in line to come here legally and become citizens?

We must put term limits into being with a two-term limit on all government offices. If it was a good enough idea for the office of president, then it is a great idea for all the rest of the elected government officials.

So when you vote in this coming election, put your own term limits on who you are voting for. All of our congressmen and senators have been in office longer than two terms – some for lots longer than that.
