Sweet Home Police last week arrested a man and a woman for sex crimes against a girl under the age of 14.
Arrested were Sarah Kay McBee, 18, for first-degree sexual abuse and furnishing alcohol to a minor and Tyler Scott Price, 19, for first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor. Both were transported to Linn County Jail.
“I received a report on the 20th of October regarding the sexual abuse of a minor,” said Det. Cyndi Pichardo. She said she interviewed the minor regarding several alleged crimes related to a gathering of four people at McBee’s residence about Aug. 20.
Two people, including Price, arrived at McBee’s residence allegedly bringing alcohol, Pichardo said. The four allegedly consumed the alcohol, as did the young minor, who became intoxicated.
After that, she allegedly engaged in sexual contact with Price and then with McBee, Pichardo said.
McBee remains lodged at Linn County Jail with security set at $50,000. Price was released on bail.
