Firefighters press an attack against a manufactured home fire Monday evening at Mountain Shadows manufactured home park, 1530 Tamarack St., space 18, Monday afternoon.
Fourteen firefighters responded to the fire at 4:56 p. with three pieces of apparatus. Fire Chief Dave Barringer said the home was vacant and had no electricity. The fire was suspicious, and the
Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District has turned the investigation over to Sweet Home Police Department. Barringer said a witness reported that he had seen squatters in the manufactured home.
The property is owned by Dan Garber and managed by Commonwealth Real Estate Service. The loss was estimated at $5,000 for contents
abandoned by a previous occupant and $10,000 for the structure. Turn to page 13 for additional photos.
