Firefighters load a patient into an ambulance after a head-on collision on Dec. 18 near milepost 25. Troy Colcord, 45, sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital for treatment after his Jeep collided with a Mazda driven by Clayton Mayfield, 28, of Tangent. Mayfield was cited for failure to drive within lane of travel and driving while suspended. According to State Police, Mayfield lost control of his Mazda on the ice. His vehicle slid across the median, colliding with Colcord’s, police said.
