Victoria Triplett

Victoria Marie Triplett, 64, a former Sweet Home resident, died Aug. 7, 2007 in Bakersfield, Calif.

She was born Dec. 26, 1942 in McMinnville to Charles and Ida Triplett.

Mrs. Triplett enjoyed fishing, hunting, sewing and quilting. She took numerous ribbons at the Kern County Fair for her quilts and crafts. She had several bass fishing trophies and played the piano for several establishments. She also had a pheasant farm.

She was a loving mother to her two daughters and a wonderful grandmother to her five grandchildren. She loved to entertain family functions, especially Christmas time. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Triplett is survived by her daughters, Debra Marie Mata and Charlotte Victoria Gonzales; five grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Rosser, Jerrun Triplett and Edith Parrish; and her mother, Ida Triplett. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Triplett; brother, Charles Triplett Jr. and her sister, Vivian Triplett.

Funeral services will be held in Aug. 13, with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bakersfield.
