Violet Alberts

Violet June Alberts, 92, of Sweet Home, died April 24, 2023.

She was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Missoula, Mont., to Carl Edwin and Gladys Lucille (Wadsworth) Hanson.

Over the years she lived in Montana, Washington, Arizona and Oregon. She loved to travel (especially if it was on a motorcycle). 

Mrs. Alberts loved the Lord; everyone who met her felt this love. She was always able to find the positive and bring joy to others. 

Mrs. Alberts is survived by her three children, Sheila Goodman, Sharron Sayre and Carl Hontz; three siblings; many grandchildren; great- grandchildren; great-great- grandchildren; and a large loving extended family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Leroy Hontz; and her second husband, of 18 years, Everett Alberts.

A memorial service was held May 7 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Sweet Home, with a luncheon following the service at the Elks Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project  support.woundedwarriorproject.org  or Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
