Virginia Urban, 77, of Sweet Home died Aug. 29, 2011.
She was born Oct. 8, 1933 in Dillard, Mo., to Fred M. and Mary E. (Trask) Naeve Sr.
She married Harold G. Urban on June 11, 1955. She was honored by the newly founded Sweet Home Optimist Club.
Mrs. Urban worked from the time she was 15 years old as a waitress, taking time off to raise her family. She began working again when she lost her husband in 1978.
She liked flowers and country music. She especially enjoyed her recent trip to see Marty Stuart in concert, as well as having her picture taken with him. She loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Urban is survived by her sons, Harold “Wayne” and daughter-in-law Rose Urban of Sweet Home, and Mike and daughter-in-law Charlene Urban of Sodaville; daughters Debbie and son-in-law Ivan Thompson of Sweet Home, Karen and son-in-law Bob Wyckhuyse of Sweet Home; sister Rosie and brother-in-law Joe Sharnetsky of Idaho: 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Urban; brothers Don Naeve and Fred Naeve; sister Bert Hill; parents Fred and Mary Naeve; and companion Bob Billings.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Sunnyside Park Gazebo in Sweet Home.
Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Urban’s name to the Sweet Home Fire Department.
