High school junior Tiffany Miller was named the Huskies’ varsity volleyball Outstanding Player at the team’s annual awards dessert on Nov. 19.
Junior Devyn Makin received the Hustle Award.
Makin was one of the leaders in the Huskies’ offense this year, while Miller quarterbacked the team from the setter’s position for much of the season, providing stability in the backcourt and directing the offense.
Miller was named Outstanding Player for the second straight year.
After winning three league matches in 2009, the Huskies finished this year 13-6 overall and 8-2 in league play and made the state playoffs for the first time in years.
Although she played in only one match this year, junior Emili Riggs received the Husky Spirit Award. She continued to attend practices and games while recovering from surgery.
Trewin and Miller were named to the first-team all-league.
Junior Annie Whitfield and sophomore Megan Graville received second-team all-league honors.
Receiving their third letters were Miller, Whitfield, Makin and Riggs. Trewin and Graville received their second letter.
First-year lettermen included seniors Ashley Cochran and Bethan Marner and juniors Sonya Corliss and Hailey Fisher.
