Walter Starr, 70, of Sweet Home died Jan. 14, 2016.
He was born Aug. 9, 1945 in Denver, Colo.
He loved fishing, camping, gold mining and panning, and jokes. He never knew a stranger.
Mr. Starr was very active in the local American Legion post during the final two years of his life. He received the Legionaire of the Year award in 2014.
