Waltraud Sarwasch and Wayne Hadland were married July 13, 2011 on the lawn of the groom’s grandparent’s ancestral home in Bayfield, Wis.
Mrs. Hadland, 70, was born Waltraud Birkenfeld in Koln, Germany. She was a kindergarten teacher in Germany.
Mr. Hadland, 74, was born in Superior, Wis. He is a retired federal employee, formerly a NASA engineer and a Department of the Navy patent and trial attorney.
