Wayne Dalziel

Wayne R. “Bud” Dalziel of Myrtle Creek passed away from a brief illness on Dec. 8, 2013 in Drain, Oregon. He was born Nov. 8, 1933 in Snowden, Wash. to Frank and Lilian Ruth (Hood) Dalziel.

Mr. Dalziel was a long-time resident of Oregon, and lived in the communities of Sweet Home and Myrtle Creek.

He loved to be outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed playing pinochle with friends and family, listening to records on his record player, and watching John Wayne movies. He worked as a choker setter and hook tender in the woods of Oregon.

In his later years he raised Pomeranians with his companion, Glyneth Petty, on the property they lived on in Myrtle Creek.

Mr. Dalziel is survived by a son, Wayne R. Dalziel II and daughter-in-law Jessica of Lebanon; daughter Judi Lowe and son-in-law Joe of Lebanon; daughter Tanna Dalziel; siblings Jim Dalziel of Myrtle Creek and Yvonne Choate of Drain; and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his parents; an adolescent child, Linda Dalziel and infant children Alan and Bonnie Dalziel.

No public funeral or memorial is planned. The family will hold private services at a date to be determined.
