Wet Weekend

Umbrellas were mandatory, even for committed Oregonians, at halftime while the parade of rainstorms continued Friday during Homecoming ceremonies at Sweet Home High School. Wednesday through Sunday dumped some 3.5 inches of rain on Sweet Home, and the rain kept falling through Monday, adding another two 2 inches, according to the weather monitor at Foster Dam. While high winds battered other parts of Oregon, the wind largely missed Sweet Home. Heavy winds did whip through Sweet Home Thursday evening during the homecoming bonfire and then again briefly Saturday.
