Whose interests do they represent?

Editor:

Why would any politician in their right mind vote to protect illegal felons’ rights over the rights of our fellow Americans?

Sen. Merkley and Sen. Wyden did just that when they both voted against Kate’s law.

The bill would have imposed a mandatory minimum jail sentence of five years for illegal immigrants who are convicted of re-entering the United States after being convicted of an aggravated felony or have three strikes for trying to enter country illegally.

They also voted to continue to fund sanctuary cities that ignore the immigration laws of our land.

I guess it shouldn’t surprise me, since Sen. Merkley voted to turn our Second Amendment rights over to the United Nations.

I am assuming that the law does not really matter to these two senators – only the votes that they will garner from the immigrants.

But that’s OK, liberals; go ahead and vote them in again and again. Maybe you can get them to declare all sanctuary cities gun-free zones. It works out so well for our American students.
