Under the peaceful woods at Sankey Park on May 30, representatives from fire agencies and other organizations held a Wildfire Ready event, providing information and tips on wildfire preparedness efforts in East Linn County.

Hosted by Oregon State University’s Extension Service Fire Program, the event provided tips on how to make a home more resilient to wildfire, how to manage vegetation around the home and how to create an efficient evacuation plan.
Multiple safety organizations from environmental agencies, fire districts and law enforcement were on hand to provide further ways to protect home, family and community.
