Mr. William Van Horn, age 85, of O’Fallon, Ill., a former Sweet Home resident, died Nov. 12, 2005 at O’Fallon Health Care Center.
He was born May 4, 1920 in Brawley, Calif. Mr. Van Horn was a World War II Army veteran and was a recipient of the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dannie Van Horn, and two brothers, Adrian Van Horn and Joseph Huey Van Horn.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of O’Fallon; his son Ron (Margaret) Van Horn of O’Fallon; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Nov. 17, with interment at at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.
Arrangements were entrusted to Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O’Fallon, Ill.
