Former Sweet Home resident Wilma L. (Parker) Vasey, 85, went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2014.
She was born Feb. 6, 1929 in Joplin, Mo. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Vasey also lived in Las Cruces, N.M. and in Joplin.
She is survived by her sons, Jim and daughter-in-law Shelly Vasey of Wichita, Kan., and Alan and daughter-in-law Shelly Vasey of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Marilyn, and son-in-law Alan Hughes of Colville, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Vasey.
A celebration of Mrs. Vasey’s life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Countryside Christian Church in Wichita, Kan.
