Strong winds knocked down power poles along Highway 34 Monday morning, Feb. 9, leaving Sweet Home and surrounding communities without power for about four hours.
The poles went down about 10 a.m. About 18,000 Pacific Power customers were without power in Sweet Home, Lebanon, Cascadia and Foster.
A dozen power poles and multiple power line fell into the eastbound lanes of the highway, according to a statement from the Oregon Department of Transportation.
