Jodi Lee Macy, 36, was arrested for second-degree child neglect.
She was cited and released.
Macy contacted the Sweet Home Police Department at 5:33 p.m. to report her daughter was missing.
SHPD responded to call at 2:50 p.m. about a 2-year-old girl found wandering in the 4100 block of Osage Street wearing only a diaper.
Officers went door to door looking for the girl’s parents without success, said SHPD Chief Jeff Lynn.
The Department of Human Services was contacted before Macy, the child’s mother, called SHPD. DHS is involved and they will create a safety plan, Lynn said.
