A Sweet Home woman is being charged with sexual assault of an animal after allegedly, according to court documents, causing an animal to contact a part of the body for the purpose of arousing and gratifying the sexual desire of a person on April 7, 2024.
A warrant is out for Courtney Lydon, 45, on this charge. Sweet Home Police Chief Jason Ogden said a complaint was lodged at Sweet Home Police Department and an investigation ensued.
Captain Ryan Cummings further explained that police were provided video evidence involving a dog and, after investigation, the case was sent to the district attorney’s office for review.
Deputy District Attorney Lindy Pyle filed the charge at the Linn County Circuit Court on July 9.
