Wolfer Contracting began tearing out old concrete and placing new rip-rap in Ames Creek between NAPA and Long Street last week.
The work, the most visible in Ames Creek to date, is part of phase two of the Ames Creek Restoration Project, a coalition of agencies, organizations and individuals. The first phase included the cleanup, removal of non-native vegetation and planting of native vegetation along Ames Creek between Sankey Park and Mountain View Road.
