Kris Newport, Colton Schilling and Tyler Schilling, of the Sweet Home Mat Club, all placed second March 25 at the Western Collegiate Championships in Bend.
Colton Schilling finished the day out with six pins, Newport with two and Tyler Schilling with one.
“This was a tough tournament with the kids wrestling some of the top wrestlers in the state,” said coach Steve Schilling. “All our boys wrestled great and represented Sweet Home exceptionally well.”
Schilling was assisted by Coach Greg Newport.
Colton Holly was Sweet home’s other placer, taking third.
The Schillings, Newport and Mat Pitts will be traveling this weekend to Reno, Nev. to wrestle at the Reno World Kids’ Championships and would like to thank Les Schwab and all those who donated by getting their cars washed March 18 in support of this upcoming trip.
