Sweet Home’s cross-country team was depleted Saturday, but nobody told sophomore Lydia Wright.
Wright, running just her third-ever cross-country race, covered the 5,000-meter course at Albany’s Bryant Park in 21:48.77, placing 76th out of 136 runners at the Harrier Classic – well over two minutes faster than her previous best, set on a similar course.
“Lydia had a reall good race,” said Coach Cassandra Schumacher.
