Friday night music at Marks Ridge
Marks Ridge Winery hosts its summer concert series at 7 p.m. Fridays at 29255 Berlin Road.
Cost is $10 per person. Bring a picnic dinner, friends, blankets and lawn chairs. Wine is available for sale.
The Friday, July 24, concert will feature Theo Czuk, a critically acclaimed singer/songwriter and an award winning novelist, who will put on a concert dubbed “Petri Dish – A Culture of Groove.” Czuk, on piano/guitar, Jeff Hurt on trumpet/guitar and Cameron Wick on congas will perform familiar songs by Cat Stevens, Donovan, Herbie Hancock and more.

Bands and Brews Saturdays in Plaza
Summer Bands and Brews takes place Saturday evenings in Strawberry Plaza, 847 S. Main St. in Lebanon.
Performances begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
The performer on Saturday, July 25, will be Neil Gregory Johnson. The versatile and rhythmic finger-style guitarist mixes country blues and roots-rock-based sound with a “genuine Americana-Folk attitude” in his vocals and lyrics. His debut E.P., “Extended Play Catalogue Vol. 1,” was released in March of 2018.
Drive-in movies at Cheadle Park
The Motor Vu drive-in outdoor film series continues through July with showings on Friday and Saturday nights at Cheadle Park, 37941 Weirich Drive, in Lebanon.
The film this Friday and Saturday, July 24-25, will be “Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.”
Movies are shown on a 26-foot-wide LED screen mounted on a berm. Most viewers will sit in their vehicles to watch the movie.
Ticket prices range from $20 to $60 per car, with higher prices offering better locations in the parking area and more space. Spots are assigned upon entry. Spots are limited. $60 tickets include space for camp chair seating. Movies start at approximately 9:15 p.m., rain or shine, no refunds.

Free online class in internet safety
ABC House will offer free virtual training for parents in “Keeping Children Safe Online” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 22.
The online Zoom class is intended to educate and empower adults to keep children safe in the digital age. It highlights digital trends and teaches adults and parents how to proactively participate in children’s internet experience, how to communicate effectively with children of all ages regarding online safety, and how to utilize parental controls and additional protection measures to keep kids safe online. We will incorporate discussion so that participants can share their experience, tips, and tools.

SHUHS 1960 class reunion cancelled
The Sweet Home Union High School Class of 1960 reunion has been canceled, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 60th year reunion was to have been held July 25 at Waterloo Park.
Mobile clinic back at local church
SamCare Mobile Medicine, a health clinic inside a 40-foot vehicle, will be parked behind the Methodist Church at 845 6th Ave., from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 28.
The goal is to provide basic health care for those who are most at risk or vulnerable and are struggling to access services. Clinicians on the bus can see patients of all ages for basic health care needs.
Schedule an appointment by calling (541) 768-2220, and then press option 3 to speak with a scheduler. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Clinicians on the bus cannot provide testing for the coronavirus.
Patients who have any known coronavirus symptoms such as fever, chills or shaking; cough or sore throat; shortness of breath; muscle aches or pains; loss of smell or taste; headache or any cold or flu-like symptoms are asked to call their primary care provider for a telehealth visit or do a MyChart “Coronavirus Concerns” E-Visit from your computer or smart device to be assessed and routed to appropriate testing and care.

Starting Aug. 11, the mobile clinic will resume an every-other-Tuesday schedule.
Insurance (OHP and others) will be billed for your health care visit on the bus. In some circumstances, health care can be provided at no cost.

Meals on Wheels weekly menu
Meals on Wheels offers take-out lunch at the Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The Senior Center serves a separate lunch on Wednesdays.
Suggested donation is $3.50. All meals are served with milk upon request and diabetic desserts are available on request.
The menu on Friday, July 24, is roasted turkey or homestyle pork patty, both with gravy, whipped potatoes, green beans, squash bread, lemon blondie and cranberry sauce.
The menu on Monday, July 27, is chicken fettuccine or stuffed green pepper with beef, whole kernel corn, carrot raisin salad, whole wheat roll and apple crisp.
The menu on Tuesday, July 28, is ham and cheese or garden mini salad, both over spinach romaine, chicken tortilla soup, sunflower seed roll and peaches.
