Peer Court needs

teen volunteers

Sweet Home Peer Court needs youth volunteers to help run the courtroom in Sweet Home.

First-time youth offenders cases are heard by a jury of their peers and sanctioned by those same peers. Peer Court service is open to any Sweet Home School District student at least 12 years old and actively enrolled in school.

Peer Court cases are heard on Tuesday afternoons from 3:45 to 5 p.m. at SHPD. You do not have to come to every hearing. Come when you can. Applications available from SHPD or SHHS guidance offices.

Volunteering could benefit your high school career path, enhance your leadership skills, provide scholarship opportunities and much more.
