Roger Crockett pounced on the chance to move past a damaged Mitch Olson to win the debut of the Interstate Sprint Car Series July 4 at the Willamette Speedway, while Olson managed to hang on in the final laps to finish second.
Justin Evans of Lebanon earned his first USRA Modified feature win of the year earlier int he evening but had to earn the check the hard way by holding back the potential challengers –particularly defending champion Dustin Dittman who was right there with him until the very end.
Redmond’s Scott Lehman became the first repeat winner in Mini Truck action as he drove his mount to victory and swept the entire events for the classification.
Justin Evans became the first repeat winner in the USRA Modifieds on Saturday. Crawfordsville driver Kyle Yeack finished second, followed by his father, Tom Yeack, in third.
Tom Yeack was also a consolation runner-up in the Sportsman class.
The DAA Northwest Extreme Late Model Series presented by Sherwin-Williams Automotive Fi nishes will take on the DirtCar Super Late Models on Friday, July 13, with the DAA on hand for Saturday, July 14 at the speedway.
