Anita Weatherly, 72, of Sweet Home, passed away on Jan. 29, 2026.
Born May 5, 1953, Anita lived a life marked by dedication to her family, community, and work.
Anita was a devoted wife to her husband, Bruce, and a loving mother to her children Casie, Kelli and Pete. She cherished her role as grandmother to 10 grandchildren and great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her stepmother, Lillian, and sisters Elaine and Snuffy.
Anita was predeceased by her parents Loyd and Flora and her sisters Carol, Penny, and Marteen.
Throughout her life, Anita demonstrated an unwavering commitment to hard work and service. She helped run a moving company alongside Bruce and later worked for the United States Postal Service in Sweet Home.
Her dedication extended beyond her job as she served as a shop steward for the union. Anita was also deeply involved in her community as a volunteer with the local PTA and as a member of the school board.
Anita found joy in gardening and treasured time spent with her family. Known for her caring nature and ever-present smile, she left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at the American Legion, located at 109 W. Holley Road in Sweet Home, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Anita’s life.
