Freedom Hill Church members served up an end-of-the-year meal Tuesday, June 14, for staffers at Foster School, which has been “adopted” by the church.
“We decided at Freedom Hill to be part of the community,” Pastor Jeff Dankenbring said.
The church, he said, has adopted the school and will contribute teacher appreciation events such as Tuesday’s, school supplies for children and other services.
Church member Leorah Burton said the 48 lunches prepared by Marty Kibble of the church, included baked sweet potatoes, a half a chicken for each staffer, cole slaw and a roll.
