Daniel Jay Shoemaker
Daniel Jay Shoemaker, 33, of Sweet Home pleaded guilty June 7 in Linn County Circuit Court to first-degree sodomy.
Shoemaker had originally been charged with two counts of first-degree sodomy, a class A felony.
The charge is in connection to a sex offense against a child under the age of 16 between Feb. 1 and March 10.
Shoemaker is scheduled for sentencing at 10:30 a.m. on June 20 before Judge DeAnn L. Novotny.
Shoemaker is lodged at Linn County Jail.
Hunter Lee Vian
Hunter Lee Vian, 18, of Brownsville, formerly of Sweet Home, was sentenced June 5 in Linn County Circuit Court by Judge Thomas A. McHill to 75 months of incarceration for two counts of first-degree sodomy, a class A felony.
Vian pleaded guilty to the charges on May 8. As a result of plea negotiations, three charges of first-degree sodomy were dismissed.
His sentence includes 10 years of post-prison supervision. He was fined $400, and he must register as a sex offender.
Vian, who had previously had a Sweet Home address, was charged on Nov. 16 in connection to sex offenses involving a Sweet Home victim under the age of 12 between Jan. 1, 2016 and Nov. 15, 2017.
Katrina Lynn Crabtree
Katrina Lynn Crabtree, 59, of Sweet Home was arraigned on a charge of first-degree theft and four counts of fraudulent use of a credit card in Linn County Circuit before Judge David E. Delsman on June 6.
Crabtree is the former executive director of the Chamber of Commerce.
A grand jury indicted Crabtree on April 9. Linn County Circuit Court issued a warrant for her arrest. Sweet Home police arrested her on May 25.
According to the indictment, which became available following the arraignment, Crabtree is charged with first-degree theft a class C felony and accused of the the theft of money, of the value of $1,000 or more, the property of the Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce between Feb. 1, 2015 and March 13, 2017.
Three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card are class A misdemeanors. According to the indictment, Crabtree is accused of unlawfully and with the intent to injure or defraud and with the purpose of obtaining property or services of value using a credit card issued by Umpqua Bank and belonging to the Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce at Sweet Home and Lebanon liquor stores, Toddle Rock and Great Clips, knowing that the use was unauthorized.
The fourth count of fraudulent use of a credit card is a class C felony involving the use of the credit card at Safeway for property or services totaling $1,000 or more in value.
Crabtree is scheduled next for a pre-trial conference at 4 p.m. on July 16 before Judge DeAnn L. Novotny.
