Frances McNair
May 27, 1945 – May 28, 2025
We honor Frankie, a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, and dedication, who led by example and instilled the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity in all who knew her.
Born on May 27, 1945, in Wright City, Okla., she carried herself with quiet confidence and unwavering determination. A devoted provider and mentor, she raised her two daughters alone, offering wisdom, strength, and love — deeply felt, even when unspoken. Her daughters will forever carry her guidance and resilience with them.
She spent many years in the Chiloquin and Klamath Falls area before settling in Sweet Home in 1997. In her early years she worked as a telephone operator for Bell Systems, and as a meter maid for the City of Klamath Falls. She joined Nypro Oregon, and laterw as a cook at the Boys & Girls Club in Sweet Home, where she retired.
Outgoing and always eager to learn, she embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Her impact extended far beyond her goals and responsibilities; she shaped lives through her example, proving that strength and kindness could not only coexist but thrive together. She believed in doing things the right way, always striving for excellence — not for praise, but because it was simply who she was. She left every place and person better than she found them, holding firmly to the belief that hardship was never an excuse for neglect—because being poor was no reason to be dirty. She took pride in doing things the right way, ensuring that dignity and self-respect were never compromised, no matter the circumstances.
Frankie is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Louise Bell, Russell Coats, Terri Claridge, Marty Holloway, and Joseph Vigil.
She was a devoted mother to Tamara Day and LeAnn Victor, and she held Candice Rye close to her heart as a daughter. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Kira Long and Junior Victor, as well as her great-grandchildren Ash and Anaya.
She was deeply cherished by her nieces and nephews — Ginger, Kassandra, Casey, Michelle, Stefanie, Jennifer, Joe, Jeanette, and Kevin, along with numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind many beloved family members and dear friends who will continue to carry forward the love, strength, and wisdom she so graciously shared.
One of the most special bonds she formed was with Teresa Maddix, who moved in nearby as a neighbor but quickly became family, standing by her side through the years.
The family deeply appreciates Brenda Walnum, Frankie’s devoted caregiver. Your kindness meant the world to us, and you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
As Frankie journeys on, she is reunited in Heaven with her cherished parents, Frank and Sarah Blanton, her beloved sister Toni Blanton, her dear nephew Josh Edmonds, and her former son-in-law Joshua Long.
She also rejoins many treasured family members and friends who held a special place in her heart, embracing them once more in a realm of peace and love.
Her presence, wisdom, and strength will be forever missed, but her spirit lives on in all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Honoring Frankie’s wishes, no service will be held. In the coming months, her family will gather for a private ceremony at their cherished spot on Sun Mountain to spread her ashes. The date is yet to be determined.
