Jan. 31

10:59 a.m. – Caller reported a generator stolen, 1500 block of Tamarack. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.

11:41 a.m. – Caller reported someone breaking into his burned out house through the window, 2400 block of Long. Report taken. Loss valued at $350.

11:48 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole her credit card and used it, 1100 block of Long. Report taken.

Jan. 30

12:52 a.m. – Ladonna Gayle Bales, 39, arrested on Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear and Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of third-degree theft, 53rd and Main. Cited and released.

9:51 a.m. – Willowflower Vasquez, 37, arrested on Marion County warrant for third-degree theft, Sweet Home Laundromat. Cited and released.

10:33 a.m. – Caller reported $520 missing from a deposit the previous day, 1364 Main St., Dairy Queen. Report taken.

12:28 p.m. – Elmer Heather Lee, 22, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation and probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended and an Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of contempt of court, 3531 Kalmia St.

1:30 p.m. – Oscar Junior Phillips, 44, cited for failure to obey traffic control device, 18th and Tamarack.

2:26 p.m. – Jessica Lea Nofziger, 30, cited for speeding, 62-45, 4400 block of Main.

5 p.m. – Derrek Charles Sharp, 26, cited for driving while suspended, 1200 block of Main.

6:51 p.m. – Caller reported her dog stolen, 1200 block of 23rd. Information noted.

9 p.m. – Craig Bruce Adams, 36, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 300 W. Holley Road, Stone Brook Apartments. Cited and released. Caller had reported a disturbance, with a male breaking a mirror with his hand. Medics responded.

Jan. 29

7:57 a.m. – Caller reported an oak tree down, Sweet Home High School baseball field and 18th Avenue. An awning also had blown over. A portion of the tree was over the northbound parking lane. Public Works, School District maintenance and the Sweet Home High School Forestry Club cleared the tree from the sidewalk and street and pushed the fence back up out of the way. The tree was one of four hazard trees in the parking lot. It had rotted along with three chestnut trees that the district cut down, said teacher Dustin Nichol. Nichol and the Forestry Club are cutting the wood and selling it. Nichol said a professional couldn’t have placed the falling tree any better. It was about the only place it could go without tearing anything up. The fallen trees, the oak and the chestnuts, will be used by the school to benefit young people. Nichol will use burls and the outer portion of chestnuts in his Wood Shop I class next year in a lathe-turning project.

9:21 a.m. – Nicholas Michel Woodward, 19, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of minor in possession of alcohol, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released in field.

10:07 a.m. – Scott Dale Isle, 21, turned in himself on Lebanon warrants for failure to appear on a criminal citation and Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charge of disorderly conduct, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Cited and released in field.

10:41 a.m. – Jeremiah Luke Robles, 18, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

11:36 a.m. – Caller reported that a male stole a onesie, 1228 Main St. Report taken. Loss valued at less than $2.

2:58 p.m. – Michael Scott Seiber, 35, arrested on Lebanon Justice Court warrant for failure to appear, and Michelle Kimberly Ray, 25, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant (owed 15 days in jail), Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and Lebanon warrants for failure to appear on a criminal charge an contempt of court, Willow and 18th. Transported to Linn County Jail.

3:46 p.m. – Caller reported electric wire placed on fence, 1600 block of Elm. Referred to code enforcement.

3:52 p.m. – Caller reported bags of garbage stacked along a house, 300 block of Seventh. Referred to code enforcement.

Jan. 28

8:51 a.m. – Tanner Lee Lester, 25, cited for driving uninsured and failure to carry proof of insurance, Les Schwab Tire Center.

9:39 a.m. – Janelle Renea Arms, 36, cited for driving while suspended and failure to install or use an ignition interlock device, Clark Mill and Main.

11:58 a.m. – Carrie Ann Giles, 34, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal trespass, 2210 Tamarack St. Caller had reported a male with a golf club walking out of the mill property yelling.

12:10 p.m. – Sixteen-year-old Juvenile taken into custody for harassment and strangulation, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Referred to Juvenile Department and released to mother.

12:32 p.m. – Kevin D. Jordan, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of offensive littering, Benton County. Cited and released.

3:25 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Carrico, 31, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass (owed three days in jail), 1250 Nandina St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:19 p.m. – Caller reported a dishwasher sitting in a driveway for more than a week, 1800 block of Cedar. Referred to code enforcement.

5:21 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole tires from his pickup, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken. Loss valued at $1,000.

8:30 p.m. – Shannon Celeste Phillips, 45, cited and released on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on charge of failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth, 501 Juniper St.

Jan. 27

9 a.m. – Caller reported vehicles sitting on the street for six to 12 months, 1200 block of Sunset. Referred to code enforcement.

1:23 p.m. – Caller reported that 16 cats are using his yard for a litter box, 1700 block of Long. Referred to code enforcement.

1:44 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor threw a space heater at her, 2200 block of Nandina. Officer contacted both parties, who had slightly different stories. Officer would forward report to city attorney for review.

7:09 p.m. – Morning Star Octaviana Kyriss, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, John Day. Cited and released.

8:44 p.m. – April Elizabeth Durst, 35, cited for following too closely and Brittany Nicole Romero, 17, cited for no license in two-vehicle crash, Ninth and Main. Report taken. No injuries.

10:06 p.m. – Michael Austin Hurley, 36, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge off third-degree theft, 19th and Main.

Jan. 26

12:32 a.m. – Brian Anthony Fox, 23, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Clackamas County. Cited and released.

7:49 a.m. – Caller reported her ring was taken, 900 block of Poplar. Information noted.

11:57 a.m. – Caller reported four adult dogs at one location, 1000 block of 43rd. Referred to code enforcement.

1:10 p.m. – Caller reported her driver’s side rear tire was stabbed during the night, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken. Damage estimated at $54.

1:13 p.m. – James Robert Warrington, 37, and Robert Gary Mills Jr., 35, cited for consumption of alcoholic beverages in a public place and trespassed from the Sweet Home Public Library for 30 days, 1101 13th Ave., Sweet Home Public Library.

1:42 p.m. – Aaron James Lovik, 30, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured in two-vehicle crash, 1000 block of Main. Report taken. No injuries. Second driver was Robert Lee Malone, 78.

2:09 p.m. – Amanda June Herbert, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, three counts of second-degree criminal trespass and offensive littering, Lebanon. Cited and released.

4:20 p.m. – Dawn Marie Thompson, 27, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest, 957 15th Ave. Cited and released. Caller had reported a female in his bathroom and refusing to leave. She did not live at the location.

4:59 p.m. – Jennifer Ojeda Garcia, 27, cited and released in field due to pregnancy on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possession of meth and Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of larceny, and Christopher Allen Hutson, 29, arrested on Benton County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft, Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree assault and Albany warrant for contempt of court on original charge of second-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Hutson also cited for driving while suspended. An off-duty officer had located and reported a vehicle listed as an unsigned stolen through Sweet Home Police Department. Vehicle impounded.

8:53 p.m. – Firefighters extinguished a fire close to the South Santiam River on the old Morse Bros.-Knife River quarry located at the west end of Zelcova Street off the north end of Clark Mill Road. Firefighters located a makeshift structure built from random pieces of lumber, possibly by homeless individuals. Investigators were unable to determine the cause, but some people ran away from the scene.

Jan. 25

5:18 a.m. – A driver went off the roadway and hit some trees, 42600 block of North River. No citations.

9:08 a.m. – Daniel Eugene McCarty, 56, arrested on Benton County warrant for contempt of court and charged with providing false information to a police officer, second-degree criminal trespass and failure to register as a sex offender, 4197 Main St. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male in her yard looking inside her vehicle. When she confronted the male, he headed east on Main Street.

10:41 a.m. – Caller reported one of the caller’s portable toilets was burned up, 28200 block of Highway 20. This happened sometime during the weekend. Report taken.

2:41 p.m. – Jennifer Ann Hults, 20, cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

2:42 p.m. – Caller reported that some of her pills were taken, 3100 block of Main. Report taken. Officer contacted the caller, who would like juveniles counseled but did not wish to be a victim at the time. Information noted. Loss valued at $20.

4:11 p.m. – Rafael Gutierrez, 59, turned in himself on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

5:32 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of her mail, 100 block of Seventh. Report taken.

Jan. 24

4:21 p.m. – Officer located a vehicle reported stolen out of Corvallis, 1800 block of 12th. Returned to owner.

4:35 p.m. – Caller reported a license plate stolen from his vehicle, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Report taken.

5:07 p.m. – Caller reported a dead goat tied to a sign, 45200 block of Sunnyside. Deputy responded. It was not tied to a sign but had been hit by a car and was dead.

6:24 p.m. – Shannon Marie Richards, 42, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 300 W. Holley Road, Stone Brook Apartments. Cited and released.

7:42 p.m. – Steven Kenneth Stitt, 31, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal mischief, 1153 23rd Ave. Caller had reported a male subject who had been trespassed back at the location yelling for a female to come outside and pounding on the door.

Jan. 22

8:33 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of jewelry, Cascadia.

Jan. 21

5:22 p.m. – Caller said a vehicle followed her from Highway 20. She was afraid and wanted to call her husband to get their gun. When the caller turned down her street, the vehicle did not follow her. Deputies checked the area but were unable to find the suspect vehicle.

5:49 p.m. – A Schwan’s truck lost half its load in the 27900 block of Riggs Hill Rd. It was cleaned up immediately and the truck continued on its way.

Jan. 20

10:08 a.m. – Caller reported he may have found some type of narcotics, 28100 block of Liberty, and requested a deputy test it. A deputy tested it, and it was a straw filled with cigarette butts. No narcotics.
