The Huskies lost 9-0 at Sisters on Oct. 7, wrapping up the first half of league play in boys soccer.
Halftime score was 5-0.
“They didn’t play very well,” said Coach Eric Stutzer. “It was over in about the first 10 minutes of the game.”
It was probably the worst game of the year, and Sisters had also improved since the first time the teams met this season, Stutzer said. His starting goalie remained out with an injury, and Egan Shamek was out for the game, decreasing team speed on offense.
As they start into the rest of the second half of league play, the Huskies need to learn to work through adversity, Stutzer said.
“You can’t let it dictate your response,” he said. “I think we believe we can beat the people we’re playing.
“Are we going to give up when adversity hits? That’s a question they can answer.”
Matt Davis and Nic Dishaw have been filling in at goalie while Patric Dishaw has been injured.
The Huskies are 0-6 in league and 1-9 overall.
They were scheduled to play Sutherlin on Tuesday, Cottage Grove at home on Thursday and Elmira at home next Tuesday.
