Sweet Home drug search warrant results in three arrests

Three Sweet Home residents were arrested early Thursday morning, Dec. 3, after a narcotics-related search warrant served at Mountain Shadows mobile home park.

At approximately 7 a.m. Thursday, Sweet Home police officers, with assistance from Lebanon Police, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and a U.S. Forest Service K-9 officer, arrived at 1530 Tamarack St., space 108.

They located five adults on the property, Sweet Home Police Chief Jeff Lynn said.

During the investigation, detectives seized methamphetamine, scales, packaging material, butane honey oil, BHO production materials, drug paraphernalia, a restricted weapon and drug records, Lynn said in a statement.

Corey Allen Dean, 31, was arrested for distribution of a controlled substance–methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance–methamphetamine, and the unlawful manufacture of marijuana extract. Dean also had outstanding warrants for his arrest from the Oregon State Parole Board for a parole violation on a robbery conviction, a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on a harassment charge, and a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court on a third-degree theft charge, Lynn said.

Dean is also on post-prison supervision for robbery through Linn County Parole and Probation, he said.

He was transported and lodged at Linn County Jail.

Shanteal Lynn Bandy, 31, was arrested for PCS – methamphetamine. She was transported to the Linn County Jail and lodged.

Dean and Bandy were the primary occupants of the residence. Police began an investigation based on alleged drug sales by Dean, Lynn said.

Ronald Kelley Nelson, 34, was arrested on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court on a second-degree criminal trespass charge.

Two other occupants of the residence were identified as Cinque Younger Dews, 41, and Utahna Kay Pike, 30.

Lynn said they had moved in within the last week and were cooperative with the police during the investigation. Detectives did not locate any items related to drug use or sales in their personal property.

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact Detective Cyndi Pichardo at the Sweet Home Police Department (541) 367-5181.
