George Finer, 60, died after being stung by a bee or similar insect near his home.
He and his wife were on their way to put water in a trough for cattle when they apparently stirred up a nest of bees on the outside stairway. The bees swarmed around the couple, and Finder returned to his house and died moments later.
Reports indicate Finer was stung only once, on the arm, but complained of feeling sharp, pin-point type pains all over his face and body.

Municipal Judge Jad Lemhouse announced his resignation following the City Council’s decision to increase his pay by less than his asking price.
Last year Lemhouse requested an increase from an annual $13,008 to $21,000, but council raised it to only $18,000, a 38% increase.
This year he again asked for a $21,000 (a 17% increase) salary for his position that fills 35 hours per month, but council voted to increase it by 6%, making it $19,080. Council said other city employees only receive a 3-3.5% increase.
