The Sweet Home Community Foundation has announced its grant awards for 2025.

This year’s SHCF community grants, of up to $10,000 each, were funded by the Sweet Home Community Foundation Endowment and the Tim and Jo Ann McQueary- Leave a Local Legacy Endowment.

Grants were awarded in the following categories: Children and Families, Education, Livability and Arts and Culture.

Any individual, family or estate, can establish a named endowment under the SHCF’s tax-deductible, “Leave a Local Legacy” program. Endowments can be established over an extended time period and they allow the donor to direct future financial earnings to local programs and projects. This program assures that a family or loved one will be permanently remembered by the community. Those wishing more information about SHCF or about establishing an endowment can contact the foundation at [email protected] or call (541) 730-3670.

Here are the 2025 SHCF Community Grant recipients:

o $5,000 to the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District to purchase UTV mounted patient transport equipment.

o $10,000 to the Boys and Girls Club to update, renovate and repair facilities at the Sweet Home Youth Baseball Fields behind Hawthorne School.

o $5,000 to the City of Sweet Home to commission a new downtown mural as part of the downtown revitalization program.

o $6,000 to Sunshine Industries to purchase a replacement vehicle for client services.

o $5,000 to the MIKE Program to provide mentored health education, healthcare career exploration and a youth leadership summit in conjunction with the SHSD.
