Jackson Teuscher

Sept. 23, 2023 – May 27, 2026

We are immensely saddened to announce the passing of Jackson Neal Teuscher on May 27, 2026 after battling heart and lung disease from the time of his birth on Sept. 23, 2023.

He was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and spent the first six months of his life at U.C. Davis Children’s Hospital.

He was able to be home and spend time with his family for about a year after that. Jackson became eligible for the heart transplant list in June of 2025. Unfortunately, he had to be admitted to Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in March of 2026, where his condition declined and he passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents.

Jackson’s favorite things were playing with his brother Hank, Mickey Mouse and riding on the tractor. He loved being outside and enjoyed camping with his family.

Jackson always had a smile on his face and could brighten even the worst of days. Many nurses would stop by to visit him at the end of a particularly bad day to get a “Jackson fix” before going home.

Throughout his many surgeries and procedures, Jackson was a mighty fighter and often defied the predictions of the medical staff. He also didn’t like to do things according to the medical books, thus inventing the “Jackson Way.”

He gave many doctors and nurses experience with conditions and anatomy they had never seen before.

He was our little angel and he touched the lives of many, many people across multiple states. Even though Jackson was taken from us too soon, he was able to teach us so much in such a short time. We will always love Jackson and hold his sweet smile in our hearts and memories. We know he has a special place in Heaven now with God.

Jackson is survived by a family who loved him deeply: parents Sara and Hans Teuscher; 6-year-old brother Hank Teuscher; grandparents Karen and Lynn Teuscher, and Nancy and Joe Brocard; aunts and uncles Kirstyn Teuscher, Becca and Nate Goodwin, Jessica and Stephen Gay, and Lisa and Casey Kushiyama; cousins Gavin and Emma Goodwin, Liam and Emily Gay, and Kai and Keo Kushiyama; and his beloved dogs Harley and Winston.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Mount Shasta, Calif.
